The sprayer is a machine for the chemical processing of several cultivations.
The “atomization” developed by the current of air grants a correct penetration of the jet inside the leaf, even when it is particularly thick, so that even the most internal leaves be reached and fully covered by the atmosphere with the plant protection product.
The machine consists of:
The average charachteristics are: Rotation speed: 1500 — 2800 g/min.
Air capacity: 20.000 – 80.000 m³/h
Output air speed: 35 — 40 m/sec.
Gearboxes for this kind of machine:
- D.7A (9.603.373.00 – 9.603.012.00)
- D.27A
- D.21°
The indicative possible ratios are: 1:2,5 — 1:3 — 1:3,5 — 1:4 — 1:4,5 — 1:5 with powers from 30 up to 60 HP.
Herewith there is table of the most significant technical details of the machine.
There is disposes also of the availability of centrifugal clutches for the atomizer, besides the multiplier unit.
They are safety units granting the protection of the transmission parts as well as a smoother start and eliminating the fan inertia on the multiplier unit when the machine stops.
They consist of a mid part fitted on the multiplier output shaft with two jaws held by two springs and by an outer part fastened to the fan propeller.
When the machine starts the multiplier unit shaft turns without compelling the fan: just when the number of revolutions is about 700-900, the centrifugal force on the jaws exceeds the springs’ resistance and by the jaws expand and with the lining they touch the outer side of the clutch, after this the fan starts to rotate.
The opposite occurs when the machine stops, this means that when the tractor stops, the multiplier output shaft stops, so there is non centrifugal force on the jaws that withdraw because of the springs and leave the fan in neutral with its free stroke.
